Megavino exhibition management system

Business Goal

We developed this Website for the Megavino exhibition. Megavino Bodegas from all regions of their best Spanish wines; a meeting place for wine connoisseurs and gourmets.
Using this panel, the exhibition system process tickets for visitors and professional. Again this year, its going to be organize from October 21 to 24, 2016.

Functional requirements

Website for Visitor and Professional:

Visitor can purchase ticket online and can avail discount with promo code
Professionals can request for ticket and admin will approve/reject the ticket
Ticket with bar-code will be emailed to visitor
Bar-code scanning system at exhibition gates for allowing visitors to enter the exhibition.
Each bar code ticket can only be used once or specified amount of times based upon promo code

Admin Panel

Login area for exhibitors to download important documents related to exhibition and generate coupon codes and promo codes
Exhibitor admin can generate promo codes in batches and assign to exhibitors
Admin can view number of professionals and visitors in exhibition.

Technical architecture

Developed Megavino Exhibition application with PHP, codegnitor, JQuery & MySQL technology.
We integrated PayPal payment Gateway for the ticket payment.

Implemented functionality of bar-code scanning system at exhibition gates for allowing visitors to enter into exhibition; Added functionality to generate promo codes and coupon codes in batches and assign to the exhibitors.

Implemented ticket generation web page for Visitors and Professionals for the exhibition.
Implemented dashboard with the statistics of professional tickets, visitor tickets, coupon status and exhibitors.
Admin will have authority to approve/reject the tickets.
Admin will have provision to enter exhibitor’s information.
Implemented statistics to show information based on day’s count.

QA testing and UAT (User acceptance testing)

September 2015

Website and back office went through rigorous testing by our QA team. Our QA team did several unit testing, integration testing, load testing and performance testing. JPC’s in-house testers have tested even the smallest part of every functionality.

When Megavino exhibition is organized every year in Brussels, we provide our development support for any new requirement or changes in existing website.
